Denny and I were lucky to take a long-weekend getaway to Florida, April 4 - 7th. It was our 1st time away from the kiddos and it was painful for mama to bid those little guys farewell from the airport! But after that teary goodbye (just me with the tears!) things went well and every phone call assured me that they were having a blast at "Hotel Grandma." Thanks Mom and Dad (and Grandpa Stan too!)for taking such good care of them and showing them such a good time.
A quick family photo at the airport before mommy and daddy depart... I still have dry eyes at this point!
It was pretty rainy weather for our stay, but each day brought at least a little sunshine. We were able to spend some time at Sea World during our stay. The very soggy weather that day was compensated for by the fact that I got to touch a dolphin! I felt like such a kid again! I love dolphins!
A moment at Sea World when we WEREN'T getting poured on!
On our last full day there we headed out super early for the beach hoping to beat the rain there. We saw the sunrise on our drive there and made it to Cocoa Beach by 8:00. We did beat the rain and enjoyed the beach before it was over-crowded. I was determined to bring home some shells for the boys and we managed to accomplish that mission!

We obviously weren't in Florida long enough to work on our tans, but we loved the beach nonetheless!
It was nice to have a getaway for the 2 of us and travel is sure simplified when it adults only! But I also would have loved to have them along. We've discussed taking that 1st big family vacation. I would love the boys to see the ocean. Next stop must be California! Who knows when for sure, but we have to get there sometime! Prepare yourselves Vesanovics! :)
On a side note, airline tickets were courtesy of the American Heart Association. They were actually won by my dad (Thanks Dad!) for fundraising efforts with last years Heart Walk. Now if that doesn't encourage you to dust of your shoes for this year's walk, I don't know what will!
